Ruffles, dresses, and flowers... It's way to easy and fun to sew for girls!
But what about the boys?!
I've been busy sewing orders for baby girls but I got to change it up today. Matt's boss and his wife are expecting a baby boy at the end of this month. We missed their baby shower but wanted to give them a gift anyway. So this morning I ran to Target to buy some onsies, washed & dried them, sewed a gift set, and had a phone interview all before I met Matt for lunch to drop off the gift. It was a busy morning and here's what I have to show for it:
You've seen the tie onsie on here before. I had made it for nephew when he was born. The aviator onsie is not my idea. I've seen it all over Pinterest but I don't know who the original creator so that I can give proper credit. (If that person finds this post, please note I only used this as a gift not for my own profit) Then there's the baseball burp cloth.
I was in a huge hurry and I'm so glad this idea popped into my head. Since I was rushing, the hand stitching on the baseball is not neat and even but I like it. It makes it look more childish.
When we go back to Dallas to visit my in-laws, I'm going to try to grab some of my nephews outfits, make some patterns, and start sewing more boy items.
