Sweet Shot Tuesday: Family

This past weekend we were able to visit family in Dallas and go to another Rangers game.  Since we moved, we have missed spending time with Matt's family, especially our niece and new nephew!

I know Sweet Shot Tuesday is supposed to be encouraging me to take pictures weekly, and I did. I will share those in a minute. But these next 2 pictures are some of my favorites from our Easter picnic in the park.

this one is for the link up on Tones on Tuesday

Hannah obviously adores her uncle Matt!

Last time we made a trip to Dallas, I brought my sewing machine along to finish an order for a friend.  Hannah was pretty curious about what I was doing and, of course, wanted to help. She would shove the shirt under the needle then drop to the ground to push the pedal.

When we were playing in her playroom this weekend, she grabbed one of her doll outfits, and a pencil sharpener and began teaching me how to "sew."  The memory and creativity of a child's brain just amazes me.

After she showed me how, it was my turn. She noticed that I had a toe ring on my foot that was "pushing the pedal" and decided she needed one too. She went and grabbed a big gaudy ring that she uses for dress up, slipped it on her toe, and then got back to sewing.  Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera at that moment and she wouldn't reenact it for me.

Here's little brother watching us play...
