Curbside Treasure

Today is Bulk Trash Pickup day in the area so I decided to do some "shopping". It's the best kind of shopping because you don't spend any money!  I drove around the different neighborhoods in the area and came across this little gem!

It needs a few screws and some paint but this is not trash! It is my new project. And it's free!  But there's one problem...

I drive a car. 

I like to think that I'm pretty awesome at Tetris, but fitting a rocking chair into my Accord was just not working. If any neighbors were looking out the window, I'm sure they got a kick out of watching me try again and again - trunk, back seat, back seat folded down, front seat, front seat forward... fail.

I'm taking this thing home somehow!

Luckily, my friend, Sally, was babysitting at her sister's house right down the street.  I  managed to halfway fit it in the open trunk and creep on over to the house where I borrowed a screw driver.

I win!!  Now I just hope I can remember how to put it back together. 


I think this will be adorable.  Any suggestions on what color to paint it?   I actually don't know if we have room for it now, so I'm willing to repaint it and sell it.  Any takers?
