Tis the season

It's been a while since I've posted anything on here so I thought I should give you all an update. It has been busy around here. Lots of work, Christmas shopping and decorating, and more.  It seems like Matt and I have had opposite work schedules lately and are so ready for a day off together.

I'm so glad I bought all our decorations last year after Christmas dirt cheap then boxed them up. It was like going shopping when I pulled out all the decorations.  Here's our "mantle",  new stockings, and the hurricanes again!

On the other hand...


It's been a rough week at work and I'm only halfway through. For some silly reason I decided to pick up an extra shift this week. On Tuesday, my day started off in a mess... literally. I was giving medications to a patient through a nasogastric tube (a tube that goes through the nose and down to the stomach and suctions out bile and stuff that won't come out the other end :/  )  when I got sprayed. My face, clothes, everything. I clamped it with my eyes closed and quickly ran into the bathroom to wash my eyes and face.  Disgusting.  Thankfully, I got a new scrub top.  

Later in the day, I gracefully fell off the chair. I was trying to avoid having a pickle that was being shoved in my face by one of my coworkers. Before I knew it, the chair rolled out from underneath me. I hit the floor pretty hard but I laughed even harder.

There was a highlight to the day:  we got treats, an ornament, and a Target gift card from work! Thanks Baylor!  Plus Liz and I took a picture with Santa!

What else have we been up to? 

Well Matt bought me a great Christmas present. I love it!

I'm not much of a purse girl but I think it was about time for a new one. Don't you agree?

We also finished a puzzle (and now we have our kitchen table back).

Random but super cute: My patient had this cute decoration in the room. I just loved it.

I know it's a random post with random pictures but that's what's been going on here. Today I've been sewing so stay tuned for that project!
