Tips for my readers

I first started blogging to keep my family updated on what Matt and I are doing and share pictures with them. I realize that many people who read and keep up with my blog are not bloggers themselves. Some people have had trouble commenting and others have had trouble keeping track of the link.  I wanted to share some tips with all of you to hopefully fix those problems and make it easier to keep up with us. So here is goes:

How do I leave a comment on your blog?
Commenting on this particular type of blog can be confusing but I will explain. I've been researching ways to change the HTML of it to make it more user friendly. Until I figure something out, just follow these instructions:

• at the end of each post (entry) you will see a blue link that says "comments". Click here.
• A box will pop up and allow you to type a comment
• below this box, there is a drop down menu labeled "Comment as....". Since the majority of you do not have blogs, here's what you do --  Click the drop down menu and select "Name/URL". You will fill in your name here. You do not have to put in a URL in this step. Leave that blank.
• type in your comment and submit it. It will probably make you type in the security code that it gives you.  
• You're done! 

I am aware that some people had trouble with their comment not showing up after they wrote it. I'm not sure why that happened. My suggestion, especially if you're writing a long comment, is to copy it before pressing submit. That way, if it doesn't show up, you can easily paste it when you try again (instead of having to rewrite it). 


How do I keep up with your new posts?
If you look to the right, I have added a new gadget that makes it easy. See it? It says "Follow by email." All you have to do is enter your email address in that blank and press "submit."   By doing this, you will receive an email every time I post a new entry on my blog.  That's it!
