Sweet Shot Tuesday: A New Year

I had planned to go take some pictures outside of a few generations of wedding dresses. In my mind, I was picturing this perfect set up and it was going to be beautiful... then came the rain, hail, tornadoes, and flooding.  I hadn't even thought to look at the weather. Since this whole drought thing, I wasn't expecting rain at all. So, instead of a gloomy shot of the "swamps" that have suddenly appeared around here, I will use a picture I took a few weeks ago.

I thought of what other picture I could post for Sweet Shot Tuesday and this one came to mind.  For some reason, this has become a favorite of mine.

I was amazed by how pretty these sparklers were on New Years and even more amazed that my new phone captured them pretty decently.  There's probably nothing that fantastic about this shot (who knows, I'm no professional), but I still love the way those sparks scatter across it.

Hope you all are having a great 2012!!

wow! That's a great shot! I've actually never seen a shot of a sparkler quite so sharp! I was about to ask you if you used a tripod and then I saw you took this on your phone! That's even more impressive :)
