My friend Sally and I had the day off and decided to do some crafting. We each made our own 9 piece wall art. I looked around at stores and similar art would cost you anywhere from $40-$200. Ours cost a fraction of the price! Here's a look at my art.
First we went to Home Depot and got MDF board cut into 1 foot squares. This is the part that I thought would make my dad proud. :)
Sally and I set up shop in my garage. We painted the edges of the wood then went to town with ModPodge! We decided that kneeling on the finished ones would make them stick better. So we stacked, knelt, glued, stacked, knelt, glued....
Nix was quite the helper, enjoying the sun and the company.
We sanded the edges for a nice finish. The last step was Sally's favorite! She really enjoyed using those teeny tiny nails to secure the brackets evenly and level to the back. (That statement was filled with sarcasm)
And once again, Nix wanted to help out...
Ta-da! All done! Here is another look at the finished product
You like it? It's easy to make, so you should try it. Or I'll make you one. I have plenty of left overs and Sally has already volunteered to do attach all the hanging brackets! ;)

This is adorable! Is it just scrapbook paper on the front? Or Wallpaper samples? Or what, yo? Very pretty! I love squares, for whatever reason...and I hate what's on my living room wall at the moment. Hmmm...
This was so fun, Margaret! I'm glad we did this today.
Oh! Yes, I will (not) be the first to volunteer to attach the brackets. Hopefully my thumb doesn't fall off after hitting it countless times!
YES PLEASE!!! If you have boards left, Id love to buy them from you!
