Go Rangers

I grew up feeling pretty confident about baseball. My grandfather breathes the sport, my brother has played his whole life, and I grew up playing in the city league. Since I was the only girl in the league and was way too cool to play softball, that made me legit right? (Forget the fact that this was pee-wee ball). Well once I met my husband I was quickly humbled. I realized I knew nothing about the sport and if you saw my batting stance, it was obvious that, at age 23, I had no more skill the the pee-wee kids.

When I met Matt, I had no choice but to become a Ranger's fan.  He is a huge fan and if I ever wanted to spend time with him, I had to learn to love them. Over the past year and half I have learned so much from him, his family, and friends. I love really love watching the game with him now that I know what's going on.  There's so much strategy to the game that I didn't know existed! I can actually listen to sports radio, game announcers, and highlight shows and understand what they're talking about.  Last season was a tough one but this season it paid off!

We had the chance to go to the clencher game against the Yankees and watch the Rangers win!! It was the most exciting sports atmosphere ever! I wanted to share a little of the excitement with all of you. The video I post is the last out of the game to win the ALCS and go to the World Series!  Yes, that is my obnoxious squeal that you hear. Go Rangers!!!

For the record...Matt's shirt is more red than mauve, like it was on my phone. I think I'll have to eat my words in the great t-shirt debate of 2010. :)
